7 Apps You NEED For Healthy Living
I have recently found myself looking for the best apps out there in all categories. It can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to healthier living, which is why I created a complete list of 7 apps you need for healthy living!
Flo is a period tracker, ovulation, and fertility calendar. It’s a smart and simple period tracker, helpful pregnancy week by week app, accurate ovulation and fertility calendar, and PMS symptoms tracker!
This app learns more about your individual cycle each time you log in it, creating an app that completely learns you as an individual. By logging the start date and end date of menstruation, the app will be able to predict ovulation, fertility, and give a prediction for upcoming periods.
It also offers you daily insights based on your data to help you learn more about your body and maintaining a healthy cycle.
Shine: Calm Anxiety & Stress
This app is designed to show you new self-care strategies. It sends you a motivational message to keep you inspired each day and has built-in podcast-meets-meditation episodes! They also have a huge audio library with over 500 meditations, bedtime stories, and ambient music.
There is also a prompt to log what you are grateful for each day, which is awesome. Practicing recognizing things you’re grateful for in your life is a really great way to help turn around anxiety and stress.
There is also an option to participate in a community discussion board and “Grow With Challenges.”
Peanut is an app designed to help you meet other women and share ideas, thoughts, and encouragement in areas like fertility, pregnancy, and motherhood. How cool is that?!
Peanut’s main mission is to help you meet other women who are going through similar life experiences for extra support while you conquer your next adventure.
The app has a swipe feature to connect you with like-minded women nearby and allows you to chat or join group discussions. It’s basically one big social media platform all about empowering women in their journey to motherhood! We LOVE women supporting women!
Oh She Grows
Oh She Grows has an entire database for plant-based recipes from the award-winning recipe blogger, Angela Liddon.
She only shares recipes that are a hit with friends and family, so you can be sure the recipes you’re trying are going to be delicious! There are different free recipe bundles on the bundles page like “Cookie Lover’s Holiday Bundle,” can you say YUM?!
The recipe list is sorted by season and holiday so the most relevant recipes will show up first, however, you can switch to see them in chronological order if you prefer. If you’re looking for an app to keep you inspired to cook healthy and delicious meals, look no further. Not to mention, it’s a beautifully designed app which doesn’t hurt either.
Sleep Cycle – Sleep Tracker
This is a sleep tracking app that is compatible with Apple Watches as well. This app has built-in features to maximize your sleep including a smart alarm, detailed sleep analysis, and premium features such as relaxing sleep sounds and bedtime stories.
The smart alarm gently wakes you up while you’re in your lightest sleep phase making trouble waking up a thing of the past. You also have the opportunity to learn about your sleep patterns with detailed sleep tracking and analyses.

This exercise app comes with a free trial for new members and is the #1 workout app for women. Workout at home with the largest fitness community of women worldwide!
The app includes workouts, nutrition guides, and support. The complete Bikini Body Guide (BBG) is suitable for at-home workouts and includes high-intensity plyometric training using minimal equipment! There is a BBG Stronger workout that is more centered around exercises in a gym setting with gym equipment.
She also includes a post-pregnancy program to support new mothers in their journey to rebuilding strength and fitness after having a baby! Get after it, mamas! These are just a few examples of the programs included in the app, but there are more. This is an incredibly well rounded and insightful app, and it is perfect for someone starting their fitness journey from scratch or needing the motivation to get back into it!
AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run
AllTrails is your guide to the outdoors! Consider it a great resource for finding the best hiking, running, and biking trails around the world.
Discover awesome trails around the world or even new trails near you! The app also includes a GPS tracker to help follow the trail so you don’t get lost. Explore new trails and easily save your favorite trails.
AllTrails Pro offers more features such as GPS tracking even if you don’t have signal, assigning people who can track your trail progress for safety, and part of the subscription is donated to help the environment.
